Emily Hanlon believes that healing begins in relationships where you feel safe, respected, and truly heard. At Console Counseling, she creates a supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences without pressure to have everything figured out. Her approach is grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when people are met with empathy, curiosity, and genuine care.
Many individuals and families come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of their next steps. Emily offers a steady and compassionate presence, helping clients make sense of their experiences while reconnecting with their values.
Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
Emily is currently completing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Western Michigan University (expected May 2026). Her training emphasizes evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, trauma-informed care, and multicultural counseling.
In addition to her clinical work, Emily brings over ten years of experience in education, which shapes her understanding of development, neurodivergence, and the ways family and relational systems influence emotional well-being. She integrates this knowledge into her work to ensure therapy feels both practical and relevant to everyday life.
